Hi Swimmers,

PRACTICES CANCELLED TODAY (Wed 1/25) DUE TO WEATHER

Wish I had a crystal ball to know exactly what will be going on in the next couple hours.

At this point with all the weather channel warnings, damage in town, traffic incidents, and the fact that we are still experiencing thunder & lightning — I think it is best to stay put. Additionally, it sounds like there is just too much going on everywhere right now. It's like we never get a little rain !!!

Take care of yourself. Remember what Keith says: "drive as if you want to stay alive." I say: "be on the lookout for rising water & falling trees!"

8:30a preactice on Mon 1/2/12

Reminder: 8:30 practice on Monday 1/2/12

No practice tomorrow (Wed 12/7) morning.

Unfortunately, it turns out the prediction for tomorrow (Wednesday) morning is somewhere between sub-30 and "just freezing" with a forecast of warmth coming back on Friday (12/9).

"Grab & Go" technique for cold weather:

• get swim-ready in the locker room — as in, don't stand there 1/2 dressed in the cold wind
  
• have your gear ready to drop and get in the pool quickly
• keep your clothes in a "grab-ready" bag, or better yet, in the locker room, so you don't have to hassle with them when you get out of the pool
  
• wear slip-on deck shoes (flip-flops, Crocs etc) on your feet and put them on immediately as you get out of the pool
• grab your towel and scedaddle
• if you're cold in the pool – wear a swim cap

New Winter Home

We're excited to call Great Hills Country Club pool our home for the winter.

Directions to Great Hills Pool:
The pool is located where Bluegrass meets Lost Horizon Drive. From Spicewood Springs (hill) and 360 just go west, crossing directly 360 on to Bluffstone. Take the 2nd right onto Bluegrass. Continue up the hill on Bluegrass, over a few speed bumps, and when it "t's" out you will be looking across the street at the pool.

Heated outdoor showers and dressing rooms included :)
